Care Instructions

Looking after your Wood Product:

Most importantly... please DO NOT put any of our products in the dishwasher.

1.Regular Cleaning: Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe down the surface of the wood product regularly to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the finish.

2. Avoid Excessive Moisture: Wood products finished with Osmo finishes are resistant to moisture to some extent, but prolonged exposure to water or excessive moisture should be avoided. Wipe up spills immediately and avoid placing hot or wet items directly on the surface.

3. Periodic Maintenance: Depending on the level of use and exposure, it may be necessary to periodically reapply the Osmo finish to maintain the protective layer. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for reapplication intervals.

4. Protection from Sunlight: Direct sunlight can cause wood to fade over time. If possible, place wood products away from direct sunlight or use curtains or blinds to protect them from prolonged exposure.

5. Avoid Sharp Objects: Sharp objects can scratch or damage the Osmo finish. Use coasters, placemats, or felt pads under objects to prevent scratches and dents.

6. Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Wood products should be kept in environments with stable temperatures and humidity levels. Avoid placing them near heating vents or air conditioning units that can cause fluctuations in temperature and humidity.

7. Use Furniture Wax: Occasionally, applying a thin coat of furniture wax can help to maintain the luster and protective qualities of the Osmo finish. Be sure to use a wax specifically designed for use on Osmo finishes.

8. Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the wood product for any signs of wear, damage, or discoloration. Address any issues promptly to prevent further damage and maintain the beauty of the wood.

By following these care instructions, you can ensure that wood products finished with Osmo finishes remain beautiful and well-protected for years to come.
